Busy Bees

Bees are doing well. Roger has resisted in opening the hives, because they are sealed for the winter. Interesting to watch the bees as they enter and leave the little boxes they live in. Indigenous people have told us that bees are a sign of God´s blessing and you should never kill a bee if they are in your house. You just try and wave them out, gently. We have seen swarms of bees come and go, and one day a swarm came and Roger quickly captured them in a sheet and built them a little make-shift been hive. Since that day, we´ve (ha! Roger) has been caring for them. I am fascinated by the bees and worry about them, but I have a healthy respect for what they are able to do....so I haven´t gotten up the nerve to go closer when Roger is inspecting and taking care of them.
