Tana Hartsell

Missions has always been a part of Tana’s life. She remembers as a preschooler sitting at the feet of her Sunbeam leader while listening to stories about missionaries in far away places, praying for them, and placing her nickels and dimes in the cardboard missions bank.  Missions education continued to be a major part of her life and in 1985 she participated in her first international missions trip to Guatemala. Since then God has provided a number of other foreign missions opportunities including Brazil, Chile, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.  Tana has also served through Woman’s Missionary Union on the local, state and national levels.

Tana and her husband, Fletcher, are members at CrossPointe Baptist Church in Concord, NC, where involvements have included women’s ministries, Sunday School teacher,  prayer ministry, and senior adult programs.   They have three children and seven grandchildren.  Time spent with them is considered most precious.

Good Shepherd Ministries in Guatemala is a ministry of International Indigenous Community Development (IICD) in partnership with Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina and North Carolina Baptists on Mission.

Good Shepherd Ministries helps individuals in indigenous communities to become followers of Christ as they focus on spiritual, physical, emotional and community needs.
